River Thames 2008 Seagull

It's nice to rest my wings whilst the river Thames flows past beneath me.  Taken in 2008 in London the small part of the bridge the seagull resting on leads to St Paul's.  Made a change to photograph something other then a London tourist site.

My husband says seagulls are messy common birds but I like them. They often act silly but are quite photogenic. Great catch of this one.

Thank you Willow We both feel the same way they do act silly but so cunning.

I like seagulls too - especially when they are riding the wind high overhead in a blue, blue sky as they pass over my house, miles inland from the sea, on their way to somewhere, and their wings are rimmed with gold from the sunlight. They are noisy critters though, at times. Yours at rest looks very peaceful.
